Hello,
I was wondering if you could give me some advice on bilingualism and language impairment.
Thank you

My husband and I are looking for an Irish au pair who would live and work with us in Austria and speak English to our two young children. Ideally she would have some German, as this would make life here more enjoyable for her. I am Irish and my husband is German. We lived in London until recently, where we had a German au pair. My elder son's German is now significantly better than his English. We are keen that he grow up bilingual.

Unfortunately most au pair gencies based in Ireland cater to families in Ireland and many Irish au pairs want to stay in Ireland. Agencies in Austria seem to have very few au pairs who are native English speakers.

I would be grateful for any tips on how to find Irish au pairs who want to work in German-speaking countries.

Thank you.
